Join the Club

Southampton Hockey Club runs organised training sessions for girls and boys from 5 to 18. The main focus is that all players enjoy their hockey and have the opportunity to progress to as high a level as they are capable.

Quite simply, the easiest way of joining the club is to turn up to one of our training sessions. Make yourself known to Roger Merry and he\'ll take your details down, introduce you to a few people and add you to the circulation list so that you get to know about everything that is happening within the club.

Membership and Match Fees

Membership and match fees are essential to run the hockey club, without them we would not have any equipment, coaches or pitches to play on!  You membership fee goes towards the costs of training, pitches, equipment, affiliation fees, insurance, public liability insurance and the general running of the club.

Match fees are also payable after each match - these go towards pitch costs for the games, teas for the opposition, petrol and of course paying the essential umpires.

For the 2009-10 season membership and match fees are as follows:

Full Membership

Subscription = £125, Match Fees = £12.00

Fulltime Students / Unemployed

Subscription = £65.00, Match Fees = £6.00

Under 18s (Juniors)

Subscription = £65.00, Match Fees = £6 (Saturdays), £3 (Sundays)

Under 10s

Subscription = £50
