Welcome to Southampton Hockey Club

SHC are a large and friendly mixed club based at the Sports Centre in the heart of Southampton and have a long history and a successful year on year improvement strategy.

Congratualtions for 2009 / 2010 Season go to:

  • Ladies 1stXI - Hampshire Cup Winners

  • Ladies 3rdXI - Hampshire Div 2 Champions

  • Otters - Hampshire Division 7 Champions

  • Men's 1stXI - Promoted to Regional Div 1

We currently field 9 men's teams, 5 ladies teams, indoor teams, mixed teams and a large thriving junior section which we are very proud of, including the U18 National Champions 2009.

Our support structure for playing, coaching and umpiring is second-to-none in the area with something on offer for all ages and abilities. Whatever your ability, you are welcome to attend one of our training sessions and see how much fun you can have by being part of a friendly, diverse and enjoyable sports club.

Welcome to our new website!

Although still under development most things and should be working including the most important things: Who's the daddy? and Golden Stick.  If you spot any mistakes, bugs or links are not working, please contact the webmaster.

Pre-season Training
Training commences on Tuesday 20th July starting with fitness sessions (6.30 onwards) on the football fields adjacent to the pitches, and then commencing pitch training on Tuesday 3rd August (7.30 onwards) for men and ladies of all teams.

Everyone is encouraged to attend pre-season fitness if only to get the legs moving again!

New members, as always, are welcome to come along and join the fitness sessions and pitch training.

Women's Champions Trophy
Congratulations to Sue Merry and Fiona Jarman who have been selected to represent the England Over 40's in a Masters Champions Cup which will run along side the Women's Champions Trophy tournament.

Sue has also been selected to play against the Wembley Legends team which opens the tournament on Sunday 11th July at 11 am for the Home Nations team (combination of Welsh, Scots & Irish).
