SHC Juniors will show mark of respect on the sad passing of the Queen with a 2 minute silence on Sunday morning 11th September

With the sad news regarding the Queen's passing England Hockey have issued the following Guidelines

Guidance to hockey community after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
The below guidance has been put together to support clubs, players and other hockey activity during this period of mourning. Please note that official guidance is due from government relating to the rest of the period of mourning and the funeral which is expected to take place on Monday 19 September.
• While we await official guidance on the implications of sport, we have had no indication that community sport should stop for this weekend 10/11 September 2022
• Therefore, we recommend that you continue with training, pre-season friendlies or other hockey activities as you see fit during this period
• If you decide to continue with activities, we recommend the use of black armbands or black ribbons and a 2 minute silence before the activity commences as a mark of respect

At Junior Coaching on 11th September, this Sunday morning we will hold a 2 minute silence at approximately 9.30am as a mark of respect for the Queen and to remember her wonderful life.

Thank you for your continued support

Sue
SHC Junior Coordinator
